Data Recovery

My current notebook has a 40 GB hard drive. I do not have the XP Pro discs to install an OS on a new drive. I want to put in at least a 100GB drive in this machine but be able to transfer all of the programs and data on the existing drive to the new one including the OS. If this can be done; how?

If you had a RAID 0 array go corrupt would your problems be greater less than or the same as having a single drive go. Seems to me that losing half your data is better than everything…

I wanted to know this becuase i have heaps of stuff on my external HDD that i want to use on my ps3, and the ps3 can only use fat-32 file system HDD’s and not NTFS ones. I also have no where else to put my data becuase i have 400gb of stuff on it.

i had virus on my computer so the IT man rebooted it back to how it was when i brought it he asked me if had saved every thing i thought he ment to the computer so i said yes but he ment a memory stick and now all my videos, pictures work has been erased and its not in the recycling bin is there any way i can restore my data i know it can be done but i don’t now how please help me!!!! anyone who has the answer is a life saver.
